Honda introduces headlamp lens restoration service

See clearly and drive safely with clear headlamps. Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. announces the introduction of its latest service that restores the condition of headlamp lens.

Over time, plastic headlamp lenses turn cloudy yellow in color. Exposure to UV rays, smog, acid rain, chemicals and other harsh elements cause plastic oxidation. This natural deterioration can pose danger when driving at night because hazy lenses impair vision and cut viewable distance, thereby, delaying perception and reaction to possible road hazards. Studies show that better visibility improve driving response time of up to a full second or more. At highway speed, this equates to almost four (4) cars of extra stopping distance.

Most shops only polish the headlamp lenses but Honda goes beyond the usual by including a re-application of a specially formulated UV protective coating which is cured using infra-red drying equipment as part of the package to shield lenses from harsh sunlight.

Restore your car’s headlamps back to its near original state within a few hours. Valued at Php 2,400, this is made available at the introductory rate of Php 1,400 which translates to more than 40% savings. This introductory rate is subject to change without prior notice. This new service is initially available at selected Honda dealers located in Quezon City, Kalookan, Manila, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Pangasinan, Tarlac, Isabela, Nueva Ecija and Ilocos Norte.

BMW Mega City

BMW  has started to lift the veil off its future carbon-fiber electric car, the Megacity Vehicle, which will launch what the carmaker calls the first “volume-produced vehicle” with a passenger cell made from the composite.

While other car companies have focused on adapting existing car bodies for future electric vehicles, BMW has pledged to create a new concept in vehicle architecture and body construction for mass-production cars. It previously announced a $100 million investment in a joint venture with SGL Group in Moses Lake, Wash., to provide part of the carbon-fiber production needed for the Megacity.
