Honda City 2009 now available in the Philippines
The all new 2009 Honda City has finally reached the Philippines shores. It takes is stylistic cues from its big brother the Honda Accord and incorporates it in a more economical and fuel efficient vehicle. The City is based on the same platform as the Honda Jazz and most of the upgrades of the Jazz is reflected here. This includes the larger wheel base and roomier interior as well as the Advanced Compatibility Engineering (ACE) which improves the vehicles over all safety.
Some would say that the only major drawback to the 2009 Honda City is its price points:

At its current SRP the city is more expensive than the sportier Honda Jazz and its top of the line variant is has only about a Php 20K difference from the 1.8 Civic. During these tougher economic times the price points are rather high compared to the other models being offered by Hondas competitors.
Final Verdict: If you are looking for a fuel economical sedan with a touch of class, then the City is definitely an option. Should you be considering getting the 1.5 automatic variant, I suggest just adding the additional 20K and going for the 1.8 Civic as you will definitely get more bang for your buck. Also consider getting the Jazz if you want to save a couple of thousand and still look hip at the same time.
